Basement Jaxx are ingrained into the history of dance music. Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe have been producing white hot bangers since the mid ‘90s, making their mark in the underground scene of London, a scene that is now one of the most important in the world for dance culture.

Across their near 30 years together, Buxton and Ratcliffe have created now classic singles like “Red Alert”, “Rendez-Vu”, “Jump n Shout”, “Do Your Thing”, “Bingo Bango”, “Romeo”, “Where’s Your Head At” and “Good Luck.” They’ve also proven their metal as storytellers who honor the underground while achieving immense mainstream success.

 has sold millions of copies and their compilation, “The Singles,” which went double-platinum in the UK. They even scored two BRIT awards and a GRAMMY along their path through the underground.

With so many years and so much acclaim under their belts, Buxton and Ratcliffe have naturally graced some of the most impressive stages in the world. From Space Ibiza to elrow in Belgium, to Defected Croatia. They’ve also developed a bespoke live show for their music which has been seen at legendary spaces outside the general dance zeitgeist like The Hollywood Bowl as well as Main Stage & The Other Stage at Glastonbury.

They’ve even led an orchestral project which took them to the Sydney Opera House and worked with Netherland’s Metropole Orkest. Recently they’ve also taken to writing music for children’s television programs.

With so much history it's only natural Buxton and Ratcliffe are always searching for the next creative challenge, but their dedication to their project is what serves as the fuel. As long as there are basements where people can jack, Basement Jaxx will be doing their thing.
