BEC’s sound is pure techno. Her heavy drum lines and deep bass bring to mind a dark warehouse, a thumping beat, and—perhaps taking from the namesake of her top-played song on Spotify—energy. However, though hers is somewhat of a purist take on the genre, BEC never divulges into stereotype. And though she has a signature, she’s far from predictable.

Her understated prowess hasn’t gone unnoticed, either. Since popping up on the scene, the UK-born, Germany-raised DJ/producer has turned the heads of industry giants like Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, and Pan Pot. And not only has she had releases on all three of the aforementioned artists’ respective labels, she’s brought her take on techno to audiences in locales across North and South America, Asia, and Europe. She’s also performed at destination festivals, events, and clubs like Burning Man, Warehouse Project, Fabrik Madrid, and Cocoricò.

And all these accolades are certainly not undeserved: BEC is a bona-fide technical powerhouse. The producer is incredibly open about her creative process, sharing videos of herself mixing with multiple decks or working on Ableton. Adding to her list of achievements, her most recent EP, ‘Bring Me Up,’ was released on Factory 93 Records—no small feat for a techno artist looking to make waves in the United States dance music scene. Later in 2022, BEC looks forward to three sets at Ibiza’s Amnesia on the docket, as well as a set at Awakenings Music Festival.
