Underground electronic sounds in an intimate gathering surrounded by lush natural scenery are what make up the perfectly crafted festival cocktail that is Gottwood. The critically acclaimed boutique festival is located off the beaten path in Anglesey, Wales, tucked in the middle of the woods at the Carreglwyd Estate. This breathtaking property boasts enchanting forests, shimmering lakes, and legendary sunrises and sunsets, making it the perfect home for an equally captivating lineup.

The family-owned countryside estate turned multi-purpose venue has been home to Gottwood Festival since the beginning. Emerging in 2010, Gottwood celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2019. After two missed years due to the pandemic, the beloved UK event makes a mighty return for its 11th edition on June 9-12.

While each year the event grows, Gottwood has kept the crowd limited to 5,000 people, keeping the setting cozy and intimate. And adding to its community feeling, Gottwood offers on-site camping for a fully immersed festival experience. Not to mention, the weather is usually near-perfect.

This year’s edition welcomes around 250 artists across ten unique stages in arguably one of the most stunning spots in the country. Each stage is intricately designed and equipped with Funktion-One sound systems for a top-notch live music experience.

The lineup is packed with some of the hottest names of the underground in Europe and globally. Gottwood puts a focus on techno, house, and the many experimental sounds of the underground. Underground legends and up-and-comers alike can be found performing at the Carreglwyd Estate this June.

Standout performers on the 2022 Gottwood lineup include veteran producer and festival returner DJ Tennis, “London’s most in-demand JunglistTim Reaper, OG dubstep trailblazer Skream, Netherland-based universally-loved Job Jobse, and rising European undergrounder Yung Singh. A very special guest is also said to be on the books, so make sure to keep an eye and ear out.

As part of its tight-knit community feel, many artists are returning to Gottwood to perform again. Festival returners include Felix Dickinson, Peach, Ruf Dug, 2 Bad Mice, A-Future, Mor Elian, Gottwaxx, Wigflex, Stamp the Wax, Half Baked, and Hit N Run. Conversely, this year’s Gottwood newcomers include Fatima, Soichi Terada, Sweely, Animal Crossing, Adonis, Love International, Plus Ones, and Trommel.

With a lineup so large and diverse and without a focus on headliners, Gottwood is the perfect place to get lost in the many sounds and scenes of the mystical gathering. Keep an open mind and forget about a strict schedule, a place this special is meant to be explored freely and curiously.

Tickets to Gottwood are still on sale. Visit the Gottwood festival website for more information and to purchase tickets.
